It is my last full day in England, so I have queued up this video for you, entitled “Beowulf Makes The Most Annoying Noise In The World.”
OK, look. I am deeply committed to transcribing videos, but something about this one absolutely defies me, so instead I am going with description.
The camera follows a tall black and tan male Doberman for 40 seconds. He is staring intently up at the ceiling as he paces, making a noise that is best described as “OooooOOoOOoOOOOOooOooOOooooOOOOOooOoOoOoOOo” only with his mouth shut, in a pitch high enough to make your back teeth hurt.
TRANSCRIBING VIDEOS AND DESCRIBING PICS ARE NOT ONLY GOOD ACCESSIBILITY PRACTICES FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TROUBLE SEEING OR HEARING VIDEOS, BUT ALSO FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WITH SUCKY SLOW UNRELIABLE INTERNET CONNECTIONS. IT ONLY TAKES A MOMENT OF TIME FOR THE BLOGGER, SO LACK OF TRANSCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION IS ONE OF MY PET PEEVES IN THE BLOGGING WORLD.
IF YOU NEED A BETTER DEMONSTRATION, PRETEND YOU ARE A DOG AND THUS YOUR LIPS ARE NOT NEARLY AS MOBILE AS PEOPLE LIPS. KEEPING YOUR LIPS RELAXED AND OPENING YOUR MOUTH JUST ENOUGH TO MOVE YOUR TONGUE, TRY TO MAKE AN “OOOOO” NOISE. THERE YOU GO.
